Contest Schedule

Deadline for entries is 5:00 PM on August 29, 2008. Entries after this date will not be accepted. Winners of the photo contest will be notified no later than September 22, 2008. Awards will be presented by October 3, 2008. The winning contest entries will be displayed on our company web site www.legacybank.com after the awards have been presented.

Awards

  • Best of Show: $250 prize - will be featured on the cover of the calendar.
  • 12 winning photographs: $100 prize - will be featured for one month in the calendar.

Entries and Fees

Each photographer may enter an unlimited number of photographs, as long as the entry fee is paid for each entry. The entry fee is $8 per work. Legacy Bank reserves the right to decline entries that are considered inappropriate for exhibition and/or publication. Because entries will be judged anonymously by a third party, Legacy Bank employees and their family members are permitted to enter.

Specifications

  • landscape (horizontal orientation) only
  • color or gray scale
  • submit 35mm prints, 35mm slides, or digital files.
  • Digital files must be at least 3000 pixels wide by 2400 high (300 pixels per inch); tiff, jpeg, or eps format; CMYK or gray scale color mode; and submitted on a CD.

Submissions need to be of high enough clarity that they can be printed in an 8x10 format without greatly lessening the quality of the work. No title, date, or artist’s signature may appear on the photographs, slides, or images. No framed, matted, or mounted work will be accepted. Photos may be edited for color or lighting balance, but no superimposed images will be accepted.

Delivery and Return of Works

Winners of the photo contest will be notified no later than September 22, 2008. If you are not notified by this date, your entry may be picked up at the Legacy Bank location at 2801 W. Memorial in Oklahoma City during September. Award winning entries of photographers who wish to have their work returned to them will be mailed along with copies of the calendar by the first week of December 2008. Any non-winning entries not picked up by the end of September will be disposed of. If you would like for your entry to be returned to you by mail, you may include with your submission a self-addressed envelope with sufficient postage.

Usage of Work

Entries submitted to Legacy Bank for this contest may be used at the bank’s discretion for the duration of the contest and inclusion in the 2009 Legacy Bank calendar. Legacy Bank will not attempt to sell or distribute photos for profit. Legacy Bank is not responsible for any damage to prints, slides, or CDs. Extreme care will be taken in the handling and exhibiting of the works.

Submission

Complete all information on the attached entry form. If submitting multiple works in the same packet, title each in such a way to differentiate one from the other. Detach the form and submit it with your CD, 35mm slide, or print with your artwork and $8 (per work) check or money order to:
