Legacy Bank Puts Commitment To Support Community Into Action
The future of our communities depends on investments made today and Legacy Bank has made a commitment to do just that with Connect Time. Launched in 2005, Connect Time is a program which exhibits Legacy Bank’s commitment to support our local communities through volunteering with organizations throughout Oklahoma that help build a stronger tomorrow through their work with Youth, Education, the Arts, and Community Development.
“Our Connect Time program is a formal extension of who we are, “ said Stephen R. Carmack, Legacy Bank CEO. “We have always seen giving back to the community as an important part of Legacy Bank, and we have always encouraged our staff to be deeply committed to serving the community around them. The Connect Time program allows our staff to actively plan for opportunities to serve that happen to occur during what would normally be working hours and therefore allow them to volunteer to important and meaningful service in their community that was previously not possible. Legacy Bank will never be better than the communities we serve, and our communities can never be better if we don't give of ourselves in making that happen.”
Legacy Bank allows each of its 174 full-time employees 40 hours a year to be used for approved community service and volunteer projects. The purpose of Legacy Bank’s Connect Time is to provide a valuable resource - human time - to worthwhile projects in our communities while enhancing our employee morale and nurturing our culture of doing right and giving sacrificially. Some associates tutor children with learning needs. Others help build homes for local families or deliver meals to the elderly. Together, each year Legacy Bank associates can contribute what would take one individual many years to accomplish.
