Two-Factor Authentication for eBanking
In order to make your online banking experience as secure as possible, Legacy Bank is introducing a new security service. This new security will check for any unusual or uncharacteristic behavior involving your eBank login. If eBanking detects anything out of the ordinary, they will check to make sure it is really you and not an online thief making the request. This new security service ensures that someone is always looking out for your security when banking online.
How it works...
- You select five security questions to which only you should know
the answers. - If any unusual or uncharacteristic behavior is detected during your login process, you may be asked your security questions in order to verify that it is really you.
- If no unusual or uncharacteristic behavior is detected, you will not be asked for any
additional information.
With this new security feature, your online banking experience is safer than
ever before.
After you have signed on to eBanking, you will be directed to a page titled For Your Security... which will give a brief description of the authentication process. If you would like to proceed, click the submit button. If you would like to skip the process at that time, you may click the skip button, but seven days after the current eBanking logon, you will be prompted to complete the process when you log in to
your account.
When you select the submit button, you will be directed to a page that will ask you questions that may be used in the authentication process.
After this is completed, click submit. You will be directed to a confirmation page where you may either edit or submit your answers. Once the confirmation is submitted, login is completed.
