During late November and early December, numerous Legacy Bank employees took part in volunteering at the Hugs Project in Oklahoma City. The Legacy employees helped assemble Christmas care packages for our troops. The Hugs Project makes cool ties (affectionately nicknamed "hugs" since they go around the neck) to help keep American Troops and our allies who are serving in the Middle East cool during the summer. They also send care packages and other handmade items all throughout the year to our Service Men and Women as a way of saying "Thank you." This year they plan to send around 4,000 Christmas care packages to our troops. More information on the Hugs Project can be found at www.thehugsproject.com. The Legacy Bank employees were grateful for this opportunity to help serve and support our troops through the use of Connect Time.
Connect Time is a program that exhibits Legacy Bank’s commitment to support our local communities. Legacy Bank allows each full-time employee 40 hours a year to be used for community service and volunteer projects. The purpose of Legacy Bank’s Connect Time is to provide a valuable resource - human time - to worthwhile projects in our communities while enhancing our employee morale and nurturing our culture of doing right and giving sacrificially.
